I founded From Seeds to Movements because I want my generation to know that we are capable of making change, and I think that understanding the past is one of the best ways to do so. I want people to see that making change doesn’t have to start as something big or intimidating. In fact, it almost never does. It starts as a seed—a small act of protest—that grows into something bigger, like a movement. I also believe U.S. history is filled with important lessons and knowledge that can inspire us in our everyday lives.

 

Our mission is to share the stories of important movements in U.S. history through short, factual documentaries designed for classroom use.

 

We hope that in the future, other middle and high schoolers who are interested in U.S. history will contribute documentaries of their own, expanding this community of youth teaching youth.
